Catching Up With HER 6 Weeks Participants
HER 6 Weeks launched July 13, 2020 on the HER website and members from all over joined to CRUSH IT! Here We Run caught up with 10 HER members to see how their 6 weeks encourage them.
Created and led by HER Coach, Bec Wilcock and LA Yoga Teacher Stevie Finedore, the HER 6 Weeks program invited members to follow along through 5 workouts each week. Running, strength training, yoga, and meditation practice aided in increasing HER strength, endurance, and mobility over 6 weeks of training. Finishing off with a cheeky 10 mile trail run, HER invited 10 members from the Los Angeles area to join Coach Bec in moving up mountains along the Pacific Coast Highway.
We sent a 10 question survey to each of the 10 trail run participants. Asking them each about their relationship with running, their experience participating in the 6 weeks program, and how we can improve HER for our members.
How did you hear about HER?

How has running impacted your life?
“It teaches me that I can do hard things, that I can take anything that life throws at me and know that I can get through it all, one step at a time. Running has supported me through grief and continues to do so, it allows me to feel my feelings.” -Aine O’Regan, @aine_rua
How is your relationship with running? What kind of struggles do you experience in that relationship?
“Love hate relationship for sure. If it’s not perfect running conditions, I literally count down every second till I am finished. I’m always happy that I did it though!” -Sara Ramirez, @saralramirez
Did you enjoy the HER 6 Week program? If so, what was your favorite part?
“Yes! I really enjoyed the strength workouts, they brought a great mix week over week to the program. I also liked having the sense of community over social media! Also, I always looked forward to getting the weekly email on sundays with the plan for the week.” -Jaii Jiang, @jaiijiang
